SDF Facing deluge: All is fair in Politics & Choices confirmed by 3 including stalwart joining ruling SKM

Gangtok, Feb 18 (UNI) Sikkim Krantikari Morcha, has big numbers of people claiming to be supporters of opposition Sikkim Democratic Front party joining them.
At the juncture when SDF party is preparing for their 29th Foundation Day, three Youngsters known to be stalwarts of the party have deserted them and joined PS Tamang led SKMparty.
Three functionaries of Sikkim Democratic Front party were welcomed by the Chief Minister PS Tamang, at his official residence, Mintogang, here today.
1`Tamang, also Party President, accompanied by his Political Secretary Jacob Khaling inducted the trio in SKM party. They were given party flag. Scarves greeting each other (Khadas) were ceremoniously exchanged.
Subsequently, all the three were welcomed to party Head Quarter, here. Jacob Khaling, Political Secretary to CM introducing them as members of SKM from today onwards, said they have accepted the ideology of SKM and Principles. Three new entrants include, Krishna Lepcha, Spokesperson cum Incharge Publicity wing SDF, Asit Rai, SDF party Spokesperson with media background and Tshering Gyatso Lepcha Zilla President, Dzongu. ‘It is hoped that they will be doing a lot in the days to come in the interest of the public, supporting development strategies of the party, said Jacob Khaling.
All of them expressed apathy towards SDF. Krishna Lepcha, having worked for SDF for the longest period among the three, said SKM is the place to work. The popularity of the party has been increasing day in and day out. We served in the interest of the SDF party, but now the party has been facing Identity crisis. We don’t think SDF will get any positive results from the public. They follow Old School of democracy and stick to Conventional concepts. Anyhow, we decided to resign and have joined SKM. He expressed gratitude to all those who had helped him to join a new party.
Asit Rai, thanked CM PS Tamang for accepting them at the party.
SDF was described as something shrouded by Fog, now. I do not see a future for Youth at the party. It was like the Bubonic plague atmosphere there. We will be always there to help in the future progress of the State from SKM’, said Asit Rai.
TG Lepcha, Dzongu said recently he got impressed by CM PS Tamang in early February and decided to join SKM. He appreciated Chief Minister for increasing seats for Lepcha students in Tashi Namgyal Academy and Chief Ministers Meritorious Scholarship. He said they have nothing to criticise SDF.
All the three said there was no democracy in SDF.
