No injury found on bodies of 2 girls in Unnao: UP DGP

Lucknow, Feb 18 (UNI) Clearing the air amid rumour-mongering in connection to the Unnao case, the Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) HC Awasthy has made it clear that no external or pre-death injury was detected in the postmortem of the two deceased girls.
Out of three girls found in a field in Unnao village under Asoha police station on Wednesday evening, two were found dead while the third girl was unconscious and currently under treatment at a private hospital in Kanpur.
The DGP said in a statement here on Thursday that the doctors have termed it as a suspected case of poisoning while the reason for the death of two girls could not be ascertained in the postmortem. The viscera of the girls have been preserved and the advanced forensic experts were pressed into service to investigate it further even as there was no sign of injury had been found on their bodies.
He said that the girls were immediately taken to the nearest Community Health Centre (CHC) where two of them were declared as 'brought dead'. The third girl, who was unconscious, had been shifted to a private hospital in Kanpur for better treatment in view of her condition, he said. The state government has already directed to ensure the best possible treatment of the girl.

Meanwhile, six police teams police had been formed to probe into the whole incident and the senior officers are personally supervising the investigation.

Chandigarh, Feb 18 (UNI) Giving relief to mining suppliers during the ongoing development works in Delhi, Haryana government has decided to allow such suppliers, who have valid work orders, to bring mineral in Haryana and they will no longer be forced to dump their mined material in Delhi due to fear of the National Green Tribunal (NGT).
