State Mission Directorate of Uttrakhand has appointed Delhi-based Infrasturcture Consultancy firm
Rudhabhishek Enterprises (REPL) to prepare GIS- based master plan of Haldwani under AMRUT scheme with design standards of National Urban Information System (NUIS).
REPL will prepare the master ppan of the city for the horizon year 2041 that includes demand assessment, identification of issues, projected requirements, development strategy and draft proposals on the GIS base map and sector-wise data analysis. The preparation of the master plan will also include aspects of employment generating activities, industries, retails and malls, educational facilities, medical facilities and several other community facilities.
Pradeep Mishra, CMD-REPL, said, "There has been a significant change in the pattern of urban development after the announcement of various GOI programmes. Formulations of GIS based Master plans for AMRUT Cities is one of the important reforms which is 100% centrally funded. This plan will provide an edge to the city for achieving integrated and sustainable urban and regional development."
Harish Sharma, ED (Smart City & Infrastructure Services), REPL, said, " This project will provide a roadmap for regulating future growth in a planned manner for development. While preparing the GIS based master we will review all sectoral policies, strategies and plans on regional economic development, industrial policy, tourism and heritage conservation etc. The master plan will be prepared integrating the road pattern and land uses including physical and trasnport infrastructure."
REPL is already working on many infrastruture and planning projects for both the state and central government pan India including Smart cities, PMAY, BIM Consultancy etc.
