Western Province No 8 Juarno Augustus has been linked with a deal to Englis club Northampton Saints.
According to the UK-based The Rugby Paper, Augustus has already agreed to an initial two-year deal with the option of a third year.
The report added that he would be paid around £180 000 (R3.6 million) a year by the Saints.
Augustus' WP contract expires at the end of October and should he take the deal at Northampton, he will join his new club in time for the 2021/22 European season.
Augustus, 23, is a former Junior Springbok star and has played senior rugby for WP and the Stormers since 2017.
He also played his youth rugby for the Cape union.
