ICICI Securities Report

PVC (polyvinyl chloride) price uptrend continues unabated with another hike of Rs 2/kilogram, or 1.6%, with effect from February 18, 2021.

This is the second PVC price hike in Q4 FY21 (up Rs 6/kg or 5.1%) after an increase of Rs 26/kg, or 28.5%, in Q3 FY21.

The longest rally in PVC prices continues to extend even into Q4 FY21. PVC prices, which are now at Rs 123.3/kg, have risen 88% since May 01, 2020.

The surge has been largely led by sustained supply-side issues globally with U.S. cold wave leading to the recent shutdown of plants.
