Meek Mill Faces Backlash for Kobe Bryant Lyric in Newly Surfaced Song

Meek Mill is being hit with criticism.
The 33-year-old rapper is getting backlash for a new track that surfaced online featuring Lil Baby, which seemingly references Kobe Bryant‘s fatal helicopter crash.

“Yeah, and if I ever lack, I’m goin’ out with my chopper, it be another Kobe,” he is heard rapping on the song, which has been listed on Genius under the title “Don’t Worry (RIP Kobe).”
Social media has harshly spoken out against the rapper for the line.
Lil Baby also raps about wanting to “have a son, so I can name him Kobe/Daughter Gigi,” seemingly referring to Kobe’s daughter who also died in the crash.
