Pondy LG visits Covid Vaccine centre

Puducherry, Feb 18 (UNI)After assuming office as the Lt.Governor of Puducherry Dr.Tamilisai Soundararajan visited the Covid vaccine centre at the government medical college and inspected the process of administering covid vaccine.

Health secretary T Arun explained to her about the process of administering Covid vaccine.

On the occasion,she said that Puducherry should be made the number one state in the country in Covid vaccine.Health care workers Sundaramurthy and Ramalingam took the vaccine in the presence of Tamilisai.
Later,addressing the Medical college students ,she called upon those who took the vaccine to encourage others to take it.It is regrettable that the number of those who took the vaccine is less in Puducherry.Do not think that vaccine is not necessary as the number of cases are coming down,she said adding that we are living with Covid ,it is there very near to us and on our hands.
A physically challenged lift operator at the medical college informed her that he is getting only Rs.3500 as salary and urged to enhance it.When he slipped and was about to fall,Tamilisai caught him and helped him to stand erect .She later asked him to take care and assured to consider his demand.
