PSL 2021: Lahore Qalandars Shaheen Afridi eyes PSL’s ‘purple cap’- Ahead of the upcoming sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League, Lahore Qalandars pace spearhead Shaheen Shah Afridi has said that he has set his eyes to become the ‘purple cap’ holder and guide his team to its maiden PSL title. In an interview to local media, Afridi said that he is confident of a good season with better results.

Lahore Qalandars had lost the final to Karachi Kings by five wickets in PSL 5 final.

“We played the final last year. This time we are confident of not only playing but also winning the final,” said the newly-appointed vice-captain of Qalandars.

Afridi, 20, was the leading wicket-taker of last PSL season, taking 17 wickets.

With the addition of Rashid Khan, the team has become stronger than before. They are hopeful of producing better results in PSL 2021.

Shaheen Afridi is excited to play in the presence of the crowds.

“Fans have always been our strength, I request them to continue supporting us and we will continue to provide them cheerful moments throughout the tournament,” Geo TV quoted Shaheen as saying.
