German, French govts intensify cooperation on industrial tech innovation

The German and French governments are intensifying cooperation in the field of innovative technology based on industrial alliances, known as "Important Projects of Common European Interest" (IPCEI). German Minister for Economic Affairs Peter Altmaier has met French counterpart Bruno Le Maire to discuss key Franco-German industrial projects and how to reinforce European industrial policy. Altmaier and Le Maire are actively working to implement three IPCEIs with a focus on hydrogen, cloud computing and microelectronics.
