The telco said in a statement on Thursday: "As a result of network technical issues, some Optus customers including residents and businesses may be experiencing intermittent disruptions to their mobile call, text and data services.
@Optus is there a service outage in the Sans Souci area (2219). My phone and NBN service constantly drops out and no one at Optus Technical Support seem to be taking any calls or messages.

"Keeping customers connected is our priority, and Optus’ technical teams are investigating this incident with remediation actions to commence as soon as possible."
As usual, Optus users took to Twitter to vent their annoyance over the interruption.

@Optus any outages or issues with service in the Seaspray area this morning? No 3/4G or calls available. Also unable to DM you via the Optus app.

At about 11.45am, Optus tweeted that it had identified the fault affecting customers. "[We] are currently implementing a fix to restore services. We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate customers’ patience," the telco said.
