Neweb launches ezAIO integrated EDC device

Third-party electronic payment service provider Neweb Technologies, a subsidiary of online game developer/operator Soft-World International, has launched ezAIO, an integrated EDC (electronic data capture) device used to process online and offline mobile payment, according to the company.

ezAIO features a 3.5-inch color touch screen, Symbian OS, compliance with PCI DSS 3.2 and EMV L1/2 certificate.

ezAIO has been connected with more than 15 mobile payment tools including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Alipay and WeChat Pay, credit cards as well as electronic tickets EasyCard and iPASS for cloud computing-based operation, Neweb said. ezAIO is also compatible with most POS devices or terminals via API. Besides, ezAIO has value-added functions such as taxi call and identification in security systems.

Neweb said it can also customize ezAIO functions for retail operators.

Soft-World has reported consolidated revenues of NT$593.4 million (US$20.9 million) for January, declining 0.04% sequentially but rising 0.2% on year.
