The BCCI has slated the ITC Grand Chola Hotel in Chennai as the rendezvous for the IPL Auction 2021. The venue was confirmed on the official IPL twitter handle on Wednesday. The eight franchises will have their permutations and combinations all set by now and will be looking to strengthen their squad in the imminent mini-auction. Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) has changed its name. The franchise captained by KL Rahul and owned by Mohit Burman, Ness Wadia and Preity Zinta will now be called Punjab Kings. According to reports, KXIP will attend IPL Auctions under new brand identity but the official announcement is yet to happen.
