Shiv Sena MLA demands Abhay Yojana for water bills in Ambernath

AMBERNATH: Shiv Sena MLA Balaji Kinikar and other party leaders from Ambernath met water supply and sanitation minister Gulabrao Patil in Mantralay on Wednesday. They appealed to the minister to come up with Abhay Yojana for water bills and wave off the late penalty.
During meeting, Kinikar said Maharashtra Jal Pradhikaran which supplies waters in Ambernath has pending bills of Rs 88.67 crore from 33,000 consumers in the city out of which Rs 34 crore is late charge.
Kinikar said that by implementing Abhay Yojana, citizens who already had suffered losses during lockdown, can avail benefits of scheme and can pay their water bills.
The minister assured Kinikar that he will look into the demand and take positive decision.
