Power Grid declared as the successful bidder for two projects; Stock closes 2% up

On Sensex, Power Grid closed at Rs230.05 per piece up 2.04%.

State-run Power Grid on Wednesday announced that the company has been declared as the successful bidder under TBCB to establish the following two projects on build, own operate and maintain (BOOM) basis.

These two projects are:

Transmission Systems Strengthening Scheme for the evacuation of power from Solar Energy Zones in Rajasthan (8.1 GW) under Phase-II Part D". The Letter of Intent (Loi) dated 16th February 2021 has been issued to POWERGRID for the establishment of 765kV D/C Transmission line and associated substation extension works in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

Transmission Systems Strengthening Scheme for the evacuation of power from Solar Energy Zones in Rajasthan (8.1 GW) under Phase-II Part-F". The Letter of Intent (Loi) dated 16th February 2021 has been issued to POWERGRID for the establishment of a new 400/220kV Substation, STATCOM, and substation extension work in Rajasthan and also 400kV DIC Transmission lines which traverse in Rajasthan and Haryana.

On Sensex, Power Grid closed at Rs230.05 per piece up 2.04%.
