Star-Disney India has named Tirthankar Dutta as Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), He joined the company in January and will be based in Mumbai.
Dutta has more than fourteen years of experience as an Information Technology (IT) professional. His expertise lie in IT management, IT Security management, and IT enterprise architecture.
Before joining Star and Disney India, he was with Infoedge India as SVP and Head of Information Security. He has previously established and implemented large information security programs.
At Star and Disney India, he will be responsible for the Disney information security program’s strategic leadership while working closely with key members of the leadership team and the developer community by defining objectives for information security, while building relationships and goodwill.
Additionally, Dutta will lead the information security planning processes to develop a comprehensive and inclusive information security program for Star and Disney India that will support development, research, and administrative information systems and technology.
He will work with the Internal Auditor, Finance controller, Legal and outside consultants as appropriate on required security assessments and audits. And work on a strategy for dealing with an increasing number of audits, compliance checks, and external assessment processes for internal/external auditors, PCI, ISO27001, and IT Act 2000.
