More platforms for Johnson Arabia

Johnson Arabia has ordered 112 new aerial work platforms most of which will be delivered to the company’s new location in Muscat, Oman, with the balance going to its existing depot in Duqm, Oman and the UAE.

The order is largely made up of boom lifts from JLG and Genie with the first units due to arrive in the coming weeks, with the order due to be completed by the end of May. The order is part of the company’s plan to build its fleet to 1,000 units by the end of this year.

The company said: “After successfully navigating the tough markets in 2020, Johnson Arabia has proved to be a leader in the rental industry and in now expanding its fleet. This investment strengthens the company’s ambition to get to a fleet size of 1,000 machines by the close of 2021.”

The expansion in Oman builds on the Johnson’s crane rental business in the country and will target more business in the Oil & Gas industry.
