Singer Neha Bhasin is an avid social media user and enjoys a huge fan following out there. The singer who frequently shares her stunning pictures and videos from her personal and professional front with her fans recently revealed that she was body-shamed in the initial days of her career. Taking to her Instagram handle, the singer shared a series of pictures while disclosing that during her stint with the pop music group 'VIVA', she was fat-shamed on many occasions but now she has learned how to feel good in her skin. In one of the pictures shared by Neha, the singer posed confidently in a bikini and talked about how she has gained weight during the lockdown but doesn't bother about it anymore as she says, 'I was 49 kgs in Viva and I was fat-shamed every day. I am 65kgs here. I put on weight in quarantine and I have never felt sexier. Weight is a number you can change but shaming oneself is damaging and toxic'. In the other related post, she shared a picture with a caption, 'exist exotic lady of all times #matahari didn't have abs. It's time we embrace human bodies in their natural form. I am all for fitness but I do not condone fat-shaming, starvation, low esteem because actresses have washboard abs. Judging oneself and others, fake beauty standards, lies on social media by women who may have had procedures, put out wrong messages'. While giving positive vibes and boosting up the self-confidence and self-love, she posted a picture with a caption, 'Sex appeal is not in your size, it's in you. Be you.' In one of her recent interviews, the singer even opened up on her dressing style and said, 'I like to wear certain clothing, and targeted for that a lot. You see 18-19-year-olds walking around in shorter clothes, nobody says anything. Just because I am a singer, I am supposed to be a sati-savitri.'
