Pillay was promoted to the new role from his previous position of vice president of sales and field operations, APJ.
He joined Veeam in 2018 from The SCE Group, where is was vice president of global sales strategy, mergers and acquisitions.
Pillay previously served as senior vice president of global services at Prevalent, vice president of APJ sales and business development at SevOne, Earlier in his career he held several roles at RSA, culminating in that of APJ global services lead.
He holds s BA in psychology from the University of Wollongong.
