
Bengaluru: The State Government will declare hostels, boarding or residential educational institutions as containment zones if they report five or more Covid-19 cases. The health authorities will also initiate special surveillance measures, health minister K Sudhakar announced on Tuesday.
After seven days of notifying them as containment zones, the health authorities will do another round of RT-PCR test on students and staff members.
438 New Cases
The State on Tuesday reported 438 new cases with six deaths. The number of discharges stood at 344. Bengaluru urban district reported 306 cases with four deaths.
Bagalkote, Ballari, Gadag, Koppala, Raichuru, Ramanagara and Yadagiri did not report any case.
