Microsoft makes using Word, Excel on iPad easier than ever before
Microsoft’s Office app is now available on the Apple iPad. This means Microsoft Office Suite apps like Word, Excel and Powerpoint can now be conveniently accessed through the iPad. The updated Office app for iPad combines Word, Excel and Powerpoint in one single app.

The app first launched in 2019 but used to run in windowed mode only instead of being a fully optimised iPadOS app. The Redmond-based tech giant has been working to improve the app experience on the iPad and has ultimately delivered with the update. Now, Apple users may use their iPads more freely for office purposes.

Some of the other features the Office app comes with are tools that, for example, let you create PDFs, sign documents, convert images to text, make tables etc. These features are quite useful in Corona times and for professionals who are on-the-go most of the time. Microsoft has also added some features to the individual Office apps, which include mouse and trackpad support.

In other news, Apple may be planning to ship its first foldable iPhone with stylus support by 2023, as per a report by communications and digital media organisation Omdia. The firm predicts that the Cupertino-based tech giant may launch the 7.3-7.6 inch foldable OLED smartphone by 2023 and add an activity pen (a stylus) with it.
