MUMBAI: A 28-year-old doctor, studying first year anaesthesia, was found unconscious in the hostel room on Monday night.
He was rushed to the Nair Hospital where he was declared dead.
The victim, Dr Bhimsandeah Tupe, died by suicide allegedly by injecting some unidentified substance, said police.
Tupe was a first year student in Anaesthesia department at civic-run BYL Nair Hospital.
"We did not find any suicide note. We have searched his hostel room where he was found unconscious. His family said they had no complaint against anyone. We have registered an accidental death case and are trying to find out the reason behind it," said an officer from the Agripada police station.
