Jefferson County officials: Stay off the road

Jefferson County officials are asking residents to stay off the road as dangerous conditions persist and multiple accidents have been reported.

“Jefferson County is urging residents to stay off the roads unless completely necessary,” Jefferson County Tax Assessor Alison Getz said in a statement. “There are two 18-wheeler accidents in Chambers and Orange counties. People should stay home if possible.”
