Cash, jewellery, weapons stolen from BJP leader Sonali Phogat’s house

HISAR: Persons stole cash, jewellery, licensed revolvers and cartridges from the residence of BJP leader, actor and TV show contestant Sonali Phogat, who came into the limelight after allegedly assaulting a market committee official in Balsamand village grain market in June last year.
On receiving information, a police team reached the spot and started an investigation.
In a complaint to police, Phogat said her house in Sant Nagar. On February 9, she closed her residence and went to Chandigarh. On returning on Monday, she noticed the lock of the house was broken. When she went inside and searched, she found Rs 10 lakh, gold and silver jewellery, watches, licensed revolver and eight cartridges.
The complainant said more items were missing from the house and she would give a list after checking all household items. Phogat said CCTV cameras were installed in the house, but thieves also took away the DVR from the house.
