Indian rupee ended flat at 72.69 per dollar on Tuesday, amid buying seen in the domestic equity market.
It opened marginally higher at 72.65 per dollar versus Monday's close of 72.69. The local unit traded in the range of 72.63 - 72.79 on Tuesday against the greenback.
Oil prices rose on Tuesday as a cold front shut wells and refineries in Texas, the biggest crude producing state in the United States, the world’s biggest oil producer.
Global benchmark Brent Crude was trading 0.09% lower at USD 63.24 per barrel.
