Portuguese regulator allocates rights of use of numbers to BICS

Portugal's National Communications Authority (Anacom) has approved the allocation to Belgacom International Carrier Services (BICS) of rights to use numbering resources. The operator has been allocated the rights for telephone services accessible to the public at a fixed location (in Porto and Lisbon), for nomadic VoIP service, for free national calls to the caller, and has been granted the operator code "BICS" for 112 emergency service number use.
