US crane manufacturer Broderson has launched the all new 18 tonne IC-280-A industrial carry deck crane.
The new crane features a 19.6 metre four section full power boom, a compact boom nose, and a six metre extension that offsets at 0, 15, and 30 degrees, taking the maximum tip height to 27 metres. A two speed hoist with a 6,550kg single line pull with a maximum line speed of 56.5 metres a minute.

The IC-280-A has three outrigger positions, inboard, mid and full extension and removable 280mm diameter nylon outrigger pads, with an option for larger pads. The IC-280-A is also the first Broderson crane that includes a telematics suite in the standard equipment package.

Power comes from with a Cummins Tier 4F diesel or a propane powered GM 5.7L V8 matched to the four speed powershift transmission. maximum travel speed is 18mph. The long list of optional equipment includes: non-marking tyres, auxiliary chassis mounted winch, front and rear pintle hooks, lighting packages with work lights and strobe lights, searcher hook, and a tri colour RCL light bar.
