A 'minor' earthquake hit Patna, the capital of Bihar on Monday evening.
The earthquake of a magnitude of 3.5 on the Richter scale was felt in Patna at 9.23 pm on Monday.
According to the National Center of Seismology, the epicentre of the earthquake in Patna was located at 25.41, 85.35 degrees.
The epicentre lay 20 km northwest of Nalanda and was at a depth of 5km.

The earthquake in Bihar comes three days after a high-intensity earthquake hit Tajikistan on Friday night, tremors of which were felt in Delhi-NCR and several other parts of north India.
According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the magnitude of the quake was 6.3.
The tremors created panic among people who rushed out of their homes. However, there were no immediate reports of any loss of life or damage to property.
