Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index flat; Alkem Labs rises 1%

NEW DELHI: Nifty Pharma index were trading flat at 01:17PM (IST) on Monday.

Shares of Alkem Laboratories (up 1.15 per cent), Lupin (up 0.95 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (up 0.5 per cent), Divi's Laboratories (up 0.45 per cent) and Cadila Healthcare (up 0.3 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Dr Reddy's Laboratories (down 1.35 per cent) and Torrent Pharmaceuticals (down 0.47 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.07 per cent up at 12794.5 around 01:17PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 155.40 points at 15318.7, while the BSE Sensex was up 595.23 points at 52139.53.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Motherson Sumi, PNB, IDFC First Bank and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of MahindraCIE, Adani Gas, Route Mobile and Adani Trans hit their fresh 52-week high in today's trade, while Sanwaria Consumer Ltd. and We Win Ltd. hit fresh 52-week low in trade.
