Delhi University student hurt in bar brawl

BHUBANESWAR: A Delhi University student was injured after being attacked by some private security guards of a bar in Kharvel nagar area on Saturday night.
The student was in the area to meet his father who works in a private university here. The student and some of his friends had visited the bar at around 9 pm and picked a quarrel with a bar staff at around 10.30 pm. A fight broke out between the student and the bouncers of the bar. One of the guards slashed the student’s throat with a knife. The condition of the youth is stable.
“We have identified the attackers. The cause of the altercation is being investigated,” said a police officer.
