Jalgaon, Feb 15 (UNI) As many as 15 labourers including seven men, six women and two children died and two were seriously injured when an Eicher truck in which they were travelling overturned near Kingaon in Yawal taluka of Jalgaon district on Ankleshwar-Burhanpur state highway in wee hours on Monday.
According to Yawal police, all the labourers from Abhoda, Kerhale, Vivare in Raver tehsil. All these labourers, who had gone to Shahada in Dhule district to fetch papaya, loaded the papaya in a truck and they were on their way to the River in Jalgaon district. The truck overturned at Kingaon village, 15 people including women and children killed in the accident and two were seriously injured.
The deceased have been identified as Ashok Jagan Wagh (40), Sangita Ashok Wagh (25), Sagar Ashok Wagh (03), Narendra Waman Wagh (25), Kamalabai Ramesh More (45), Sharda Ramesh More (15), Ganesh Ramesh More (05), Sandeep Youvraj Bhalerao (25), Durga Sandeep Bhalerao (20), Sabnur Hussan Tadvi (53), Dildar Hussan Tadvi (20), Shaikh Hussan Shaikh Manyar, Dingambar Madhav Sapkale (55), Sarfraj Kasam Tadvi (32) one person yet not identified.
An injured person has been admitted to Jalgaon district hospital.
A case has been registered against the truck driver and the papaya trader in connection with the accident. Both have been arrested by the police... Against this backdrop, Nashik Division Special Inspector General of Police Pratap Dighavkar immediately visited the spot at Kingaon and inspected the accident site. Meanwhile, after visiting the police station at Yaval and getting information regarding the accident, Superintendent of Police Dr Praveen Munde and Upper Superintendent of Police Chandrakant Gawli, Divisional Police Officer Narendra Pingale have been given some instructions regarding the incident. A case of culpable homicide has been registered against the truck driver and trader. Both the truck driver and the trader have been arrested, Dighavkar said.
