One meal is 600 kcal. 125 g rice mean 400 kcal. Thanks to central govt it is free. Sabji in winter is cheap .Its cooking and ingredient cost is Rs 5 . Costs of 60 kcal dal is less than Rs 5 as some lentils reaches state in zero to subsidised price. Cost of egg is Rs five for bulk purchase. Self help group is party volunteers .They are nurtured by son of brother. So by giving a 5 rupee wholesome thali Mamta will certainly get some goodwill. Community cooking decreases the costs of production and fuel specially on Saraswati Puja when people may opt out of egg. In agricultural produce there is no GST. Govt may skip the service charge till poll. House wives can rest three hours more or can come in meeting and rally. Let the foot path food stalls bite their nails as many of them are outsiders. Gastroenterology doctors can pay a part of govt subsidy for reverse gain. Poor People from heartland who eat veg diet need not come. Please do not ask for any payment for drinking water. Stop work for only two hours while you are in line . But even this model does not enrich the state or its population. The lowest cader of people earn more than 35 rupee per hour. Bengal will get the last nail to its economic coffin hopefully for a limited period. However the dominant central subsidy need to remain silent.
