Deutsche Telekom plans up to 200 new mobile sites in North Rhine-Westphalia in H1

Deutsche Telekom said it will build up to 200 new mobile sites in North Rhine-Westphalia in the first half of 2021, as it aims to fulfil the mobile communications pact signed by the state government and network operators. It has built 973 new mobile sites in North Rhine-Westphalia in the past two and half years, and 5,230 upgrades to expand capacity at sites were carried out. Its LTE network currently covers 99.5 percent of households in the state.
