2 Army barracks partially damaged in fire in Gurez

Srinagar, Feb 14 (UNI) Two barracks were on Sunday partially damaged in a fire incident at an Army camp in the border town of Gurez in north Kashmir district of Bandipora.



Official sources said fire broke out in an Army barrack at 40 Artillery camp in Dawar, Gurez on Sunday. “Fire tenders were rushed to douse off the leaping flames clearly visible from a distance,” they said.



However, they said before the fire was brought under control, two barracks were partially damaged. “No one was injured in the incident,” they said.



They said the cause of the fire was not immediately known. “Investigation has been initiated to ascertain the cause of the fire,” they added.
