TRICHY: Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) leader T T V Dhinakaran on Sunday said his aunt, V K Sasikala will continue her legal battle on probing for options to contest in the assembly polls.
Commenting on the possibilities of Sasikala contesting polls, the AMMK leader who was attending a wedding in Thanjavur said they are exploring legal options and if they succeed, she will contest in the elections. He added that he is hopeful of her participation in the elections soon.
Dhinakaran said the voters in Tamil Nadu know whom to vote for in order to bring back the real rule of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa, which he claims to be the objective behind the formation of AMMK.
“The grand reception for Sasikala, who returned from the prison is an indication of how people would vote during the upcoming election. She was a victim of a conspiracy, people realized it and gave her a grand welcome for over 24 hours,” said the AMMK leader.
He says the AIADMK ministers have indulged in corrupt practices in the last four-year rule and added that all their power will cease in the next 15 days as soon as an announcement for the assembly elections is made.
“You all know where these ministers will go in case DMK comes to power,” said Dhinakaran in response to the AIADMK ministers' claims that the party functionaries who went behind him end up nowhere.
