Richa Chadha claims Twitter is restricting certain people from following her, shares screenshots

Actress Richa Chadha is an avid social media user and enjoys a massive fan following out there. The actress who is known for her exemplary acting skills also likes to utilise the medium for speaking up her mind frankly on various important issues. Taking to her Twitter handle, the actress recently made a complaint that social media platform Twitter is restricting people from following her and even shared the screengrab of her account which showed a 'pending' button on the top instead of the usual 'Follow' or 'Following'. Along with the screenshot, the 'Fukrey' actress writes, 'Guess what ... @Twitter is stopping certain people from following me. Why though?' Many Twitterati took to the comment section and responded to the post. While some of the users claimed its working fine, one of the users said that his request for following her was pending for 18 months. Her fans even claimed that as she is a critic of the government and often speaks on the issues, the restrictions on following her could be a result of that. Well, in a recent conversation the actress even opened up on the same and revealed that being vocal about issues has not impacted her work. She said, 'I don’t think there’s been any impact professionally. Personally, I do feel what happens sometimes is I am held to higher standards than others, that’s the flip side. People expect me to be that, and at times are like we didn’t expect this from you, we wanted better from you. There is the burden of those expectations.' However, the actress admits that she has been advised plenty of times to not be so vocal but that has not changed her as she intends to speak the truth and not hurt or insult anyone. On the work front, the actress was last seen in films like 'Shakeela' and 'Madam Chief Minister' which were released amid the coronavirus pandemic. The actress is currently shooting for her upcoming film in Uttarakhand.
