IT Park to come up on 100 acre area in Kolhapur: Desai

Kolhapur, Feb 13 (UNI) A magnificent IT Park, as like of Mumbai and Hinjewadi in Pune district, will be constructed on 100 acres area here for speedy development of the district, announced Maharashtra Industry Minister Subhash Desai on Saturday.
Addressing inaugural function of first crushing session of Annapurna Sugar Project in Kagal tehsil of the district, Mr Jadhav said that taking into consideration the demand of an IT Park in the district for many years, the state government has started discussions with many industries for the IT Park and would sign an agreement with them soon.
"Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj had constructed first Sahakari Vasahat (cooperative estate) in this district and it was known for its quality work and we should carry forward this heritage," he said.
With setting up of IT Park here as like in Mumbai and Hinjewadi, development of the district would speed up, Mr Jadhav added.
