Gopi Raja wins EO Bhopal Hosted Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) at India National Finals

 Entrepreneurs Organisation on Saturday announced the winner of EO GSEA India National Finals. Ambula Gopi Raja, a student entrepreneur from EO Karnataka Chapter emerged as the winner from India. He was felicitated in a virtual award ceremony, which was hosted by EO Bhopal. Ambula also received a cash prize of Rs.1,00,000 and secured his place to compete in the global finals to be held in April 2021. Sivaprakash from Kongu Arts and Science College, Nagpur won second prize. He received Rs.75,000 as prize money where as Anushka Bhave of Vishwakarna Institute of Technology, Pune won the third prize. She was given away a cash prize of Rs.50,000. The 10 other participants were given away a consolation prize worth Rs.10,000 each.

The seven member jury who judged biggest startup award in India included Sanket Lamisane, Sanjay Jhunjhunwala, R Natarajan, Anil Joshi, Bhushan Gajaria, Swain Vignor and Ankur Jain.

On winning the award, Ambula Gopi Raja said “I am so honored to have won this prestigious competition. It has been as great learning thus far and am grateful for the time invested by EO members in mentoring and nurturing me through the process, thus far. It will enable me to grow my business, and I look forward to learning all that I can. I wholeheartedly thank Entrepreneurs Organisation (EO) for this”. The 2021 award ceremony was hosted by EO Bhopal in association with Amazon Web Services and AIC RNTU, Bhopal.

The event witnessed three renowned speakers – Ramanan Ramanathan, Mission Director, Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog;  Anurag Batra, editor in chief Businessworld; and Sandeep Kochhar, founder, BlewMinds – who gave away valuable suggestions to on running a successful start up.

A Brief About Ambula Gopi Raja’s Start Up

Ambula Gopi Raja from Kankipadu from Krishna district in Andhra district. Currently doing his B Tech graduation in Vijayawada’s leading KL University.  He has successfully developed a prototype for agricultural spraying. His invention is based on the development of remote-controlled aircraft with multi-rotor technology. It is intelligent equipment designed to spray pesticides without the presence of farmers during the process and operates by scheduling tasks a trajectory. The entire process is programmed and recorded on a laptop computer.
