The security arrangements of the country's National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval have been beefed up. The move has been taken after a video of Reiki at Doval's office was found near Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist Hidayat-Ullah Malik. Malik, who hails from Shopian in Kashmir, was arrested on 6 February. People aware of the case said that the terrorist had recited the Sardar Patel Bhavan and other important places in the capital on the instructions of his Pakistan-based handler.

It is being told that the terrorist committed Reiki last year. Malik had recorded videos of Doval's office and other areas of Srinagar and sent them to his handlers in Pakistan. Security agencies have been alerted after getting information about this. Doval has been the target of terrorist groups operating from Pakistan since the Uri surgical strike in 2016 and the 2019 Balakot airstrike.

The potential threat to the NSA has been conveyed to security agencies and the Union Home Ministry. Officials in Delhi and Srinagar said that during the interrogation of the terrorist, information about the video of Doval's office has been revealed. An FIR has been registered against Malik under Section 18 and 20 UAP Act at Gangyal police station in Jammu. Malik who heads a Jaish front group, Lashkar-e-Mustafa, was arrested from Anantnag. Arms and ammunition were recovered in his possession.

According to the information, Hidayat told the interrogators that, on 24 May 2019, he boarded an IndiGo flight from Srinagar to New Delhi to record a video of the NSA's office, including the security detail of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Was full. He sent the video to his Pakistan-based handler via WhatsApp. Handler had described himself as a 'doctor'.
