The Government college teachers took mass leave for two days from today since the Government has not issued any order regarding the implementation of 7th UGC Pay and Regulations 2018.Federation of Government College Teachers Associations (FEGOCTA) in a statement said that the step is being taken up by the college teachers after staging sit in protests for 12 days demanding the implementation of 7th UGC Pay and Regulations 2018 in the State.
If the Government fails to issue the order of implementation by February 16, the college teachers will stop taking classes from February 17 intensifying its agitation, continued the statement.
FEGOCTA expressed belief that if the UGC's National policy is implemented it will help in bringing a good collegiate education system.
The protest will continue until an order is issued by the Government regarding the implementation of 7th Pay, added the statement.
