India vs England 2nd Test Cricket Score Online Updates: Rohit Sharma hit a masterful hundred while Ajinkya Rahane scored a sublime half-century to put India in a commanding position on the opening day of the second cricket Test against England, in Chennai on Saturday.

Rohit smashed 17 boundaries and two sixes in his breathtaking innings of 161. Opting to bat on a turning Chepauk track, India lost three wickets in the opening session in the form of opener Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara and skipper Virat Kohli. While early wickets brought hope, late strikes brought relief for England. With runs on the board, India take the opening advantage on a tricky pitch

Virat Kohli-led India slipped down to the fourth position in the ICC World Test Championship table after the defeat, and one more loss in the series would eliminate India from the tournament. With the crowd back inside the heated cauldron, Kohli would be eyeing a good slugfest against a very resolute opposition. India needs to win two matches and not lose any of the games to make the WTC final.

15:58 (IST)13 Feb 2021
WICKET!

Elation for England! Leach has finally done it... he has brought an end to Rohit's reign over the bowling attack! The India opener tries the sweep but the delivery takes the top-edge and the ball travels to Moeen for an easy catch. IND: 248/4 (73 overs)
