Digital transformation is the integration of digital technology into all areas of a business, fundamentally changing how you operate and deliver value to customers.

    • Digital Agriculture

The world population is projected to reach 9.6 billion by 2050. This would lead to a significant increase in food demand with limited resources.

Digital technology could be the answer to this problem. With Industry 4.0, the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Nano Technology, among others, are gaining prominence. It has revolutionized the industrial process and is bringing a significant change in the farming process and value chain. Globally, the farming sector is adopting genome editing and smart breeding technologies and integrating digital AI-based technologies with microbial soil mapping to increase the output quality, develop pest and disease resistant seeds, etc.

    • Digital healthcare

COVID-19 has greatly accelerated the use of telehealth resources. In April of 2020, 43.5% of Medicare primary care visits utilized telehealth methods rather than in-person visits. The major benefit of telehealth that it reduces contact between patients, healthcare workers, and other patients. Wearable devices enable healthcare workers to have real-time information on patient data while they remain at home.

Telehealth’s growth appears likely to continue even after the pandemic is over. 71% of patients in the United States considered telemedicine at the beginning of the pandemic, and 50% had already utilized virtual appointments. With telehealth already rising in popularity in the previous year, the pandemic was a major boost to the industry’s development. This boom in telehealth seems likely to break $185.6 billion by 2026.

Digital transport is leading to the uberization of trucking is using app-based technologies for making the most use of space in trucks. It is freight consolidation, pure and simple. What makes it exciting is how it could enable even more shippers to take advantage of direct-to-trucker shipping rates. Uberization could replace the value of third-party logistics providers (3PLs), but these concerns must be addressed first. In the interim, the Amazon-Effect looms over this breakout industry.

    • Digital Innovation

After taking the path of “e-government” many governments have now shifted focus to a whole-organization approach to digital. In many of the public and private sector, a digital transformation project is likely to implicate many other processes and systems, requiring that digital be considered closer to organizations’ core functions and improve their ability to quickly reconfigure themselves. This change is often seized as an opportunity to partially if not integrally redefine the organization’s main goals, its unique public value, to sunset obsolete and habit-sustained roles and functions and cope with new levels of demands coming from service users and the public.

The change and comfort the people are feeling to transform from their practices digitally, is moving the world ahead with newer technologies. Whatsapp is piloting to launch, insurance, and Pension products which may transform the late response time we have currently from an insurance company. The change which the world is observing is irreversible which will make things simpler.
