Iconic Mughal Gardens open for public from Feb 13, details at a glance

The annual opening of the iconic Mughal Gardens situated inside the Rashtrapati Bhavan premises in Delhi will commence on February 13 for the general public. This is the only time of the year when people can enter the Mughal Gardens and enjoy the beauty of rare flowers. Here are the details - timings, dates, gate etc.

The annual opening of the iconic Mughal Gardens situated inside the Rashtrapati Bhavan premises in Delhi will commence on February 13 for the general public. This is the only time of the year when people can enter the Mughal Gardens and enjoy the beauty of rare flowers. Here are the details - timings, dates, gate etc.

A statement was released by the Rashtrapati Bhavan to announce the opening. President Ramnath Kovind will also open the `Udyanotsav`. The guests will have to do an online booking in order to visit the garden.

Here are more details regarding the garden`s opening. 

Online Booking link
The bookings can be made on https://rb.nic.in/rbvisit/visit_plan.aspx or https://rashtrapatisachivalaya.gov.in/. As a precautionary measure for COVID-19, the walk-in entry will not be permitted. Hence, it is strongly advised to make an online booking. There are seven pre-hourly booked slots between 10:00 hrs and 17:00 hrs. The last entry for the same will be at 16:00 hrs. 

Timings and Days
The garden will remain open for the public from February 13, 2021, to March 21, 2021. The timings will be between 10:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs. Each slot is said to accommodate around 100 people. All of them will have to adhere to strict Covid protocols while visiting the garden. 

All visitors are requested not to bring water bottles, briefcases, handbags/purses, cameras, radio/transistors, boxes, and umbrellas. At the garden, arrangements for hand sanitizer, toilets, drinking water, first aid, etc. have been made. 

Entry and Exit Gates
For all visitors, the entry and exit gate will be from Gate no. 35 of the President`s Estate, which is close to where North Avenue will meet Rashtrapati Bhavan. 

Nearest Metro Station
The nearest Metro station for the Mughal Garden is the Central Secretariat that falls on the Yellow Line route. The Rashtrapati Bhavan is a short walk from there where the garden`s entry will be from Gate no. 35.
