53rd death anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya observed

To further strengthen the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the State and to pay homage to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya for his efforts in the creation of the BJP, the 53rd death anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya cum felicitation programme was organised by the Election Management Committee BJP 29 Kumbi Mandal under the supervision of ex-Minister N Mangi Singh at Wangoo Chithek Leikai Hall today.
The programme was attended by BJP Manipur Pradesh vice president, RK Somorjit; Disciplinary Action Committee member, T Sadananda; BJP Bishnupur District Committee president, RK Bimola; ex-Minister, N Mangi Singh; Wangoo Borayangbi Zilla Parishad member, M Brojen Singh; Wangoo Terakhong GP Pradhan, P Baleshwor Singh; Chairperson Kumbi Municipal Council, W Priyoranjan; Councillor, N Ibecha and ex-Pradhan, S Shamungou as the presidium members.
During the programme, 1500 new members were enrolled with the Bharatiya Janata Party and 36 households of the Wangoo GP Polling Booth 29/22 & 23 Wangoo A & B under Kumbi AC formally joined the BJP.
Addressing the programme, RK Somorjit lauded the new members of the BJP for their trust and faith in the vision and ideology of the BJP and appreciated ex-Minister Mangi for joining the BJP's effort to bring development and change in the region.
He appealed to the people irrespective of their religion or caste to provide their support and assistance in the various schemes and projects initiated by the BJP led Government to bring development and an ideal egalitarian society.
RK Somorjit further assured to repair the roads within the Constituency.
N Mangi Singh highlighted the various development schemes and projects carried out under the BJP's "Sab Ki Saath Sab Ka Vikas" initiative.
He assured that the expansion works for all the roads within the Constituency will be carried out as soon as possible and added that water will be provided to the fields to increase their yield.
N Mangi Singh further appealed to the people to support the BJP to bring development and progress in the Constituency.
Similarly, BJP Khangabok Mandal also observed "Samarpan Diwas" to commemorate the 53rd death anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya at Khangabok Sorok Wangma today.
As a part of the programme, floral tributes were paid to a portrait of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya by the BJP Minority Cell treasurer, Md Bhauddin Khan; BJP Thoubal district secretary, Th Manglem; BJP Khangabok Mandal vice president, Dr Romenkumar Khundrakpam; BJP Khangabok Mandal general secretary, N Ramananda; executive members of Khangabok Mandal and volunteers of BJP.
A two minute silence was also observed by the members of Menjor Mangang Election Campaign Committee and BJP Khangabok Mandal to condole the untimely demise of Moirangthem Gouromohan Singh from Khangabok Awang Leikai on February 9 .
