Delhi reports 141 new cases, one death from COVID-19



New Delhi, Feb 12 (UNI) The National Capital on Friday reported 141 new cases of COVID-19 while one people lost their lives during the past 24 hours.

The fresh figures have taken the capital caseload to 6,36,670 while the death toll soared to 10,889.

According to health bulletin, 63,022 COVID-19 tests were conducted in the past one day. The recovery rate remained steady at 98.12 per cent while the city's cumulative positivity rate currently stands at 5.56 per cent.

Currently, there are 420 COVID patients under home isolation across the city who are mostly asymptomatic or the ones with very mild symptoms. The number of active cases are 1,053 which includes patients under home isolation. Containment zones as of Friday are 746.

The health Department further said that Additional Chief Secretary took a meeting of all district magistrates, Chief District Medical Officers and District Surveillance Officers on COVID management.
