Congress MP Mallikarjun Kharge is likely to become Leader of the Opposition in the Upper House of the Parliament. It is learnt that Kharge enjoys the confidence of the party's top leadership and he will replace Ghulam Nabi Azad whose term comes to an end. Sources said senior party leaders P Chidambaram and Anand Sharma are top contenders for the post.
