Moga clash:Court sends 3 accused to police custody

Moga, Feb 12 (UNI) A local court sent all the three arrested accused involved in the clash between the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and Congress workers to police custody till February 14.
Two people were killed and another sustained injuries in the clash that took place at Moga on February 9 night.
Three accused-- Narinderpal Singh Sidhu, husband of Congress candidate from Ward 9, Jasmel Singh alias Nika and Pamma -- were arrested by the police on the night of February 9 soon after the clash while six other accused were still at large and police is conducting raids to nab them.
Moga SSP Harmanbir Singh on Thursday placed Focal Point police post In-charge ASI Jaswant Singh under suspension though the ASI reached the clash site in time but he failed to visualise the seriousness of the clash and informed his seniors late about the incident.

Economically Weaker Section (EWS), the Punjab government has decided to disburse
loan worth Rs 491.26 lakh to 289 youths at low interest rates for self employment.

Chandigarh, Feb 12 (UNI) Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu on Friday issued the instructions to all Civil Surgeons to implement strictly COVID appropriate behaviors and keep testing for COVID-19 at least 1000 per million populations.
