The fifth and final season for Street Fighter V: Champion Edition starts on February 22. Those who own the Street Fighter 5 Season 5 Character Pass will start getting access to new characters. The Character Pass is priced at Rs. 1,999 on PC and Rs. 2,081 on PlayStation 4. There is also a Premium Pass which includes extras like costumes and Fight Money, priced at Rs. 3,199 on PC and Rs. 3,330 on PS4.
Of the five characters coming to Season 5 of Street Fighter 5, four have been announced so far, alongside a bonus character. The characters coming to the fighting game, in order of being announced, are Dan, Rose, Oro and Akira. The bonus character is Eleven, who was recently leaked on Twitch.
The inclusion of Eleven is a bit of a surprise, since the character is incredibly random in a game that otherwise likes to tout its finely-tuned balance for multiplayer gaming. Eleven is a mimic character that transforms itself into any other character the player might own in Street Fighter 5. The randomness also applies to Eleven's automatic selection of a random V-Skill and V-Trigger.
On February 22, Street Fighter 5 will also be getting some additional content in a free update. The free stuff includes a new training stage, called The Grid Alternative, and a new mechanic, called V-Shift.
V-Shift is a new defensive mechanic that allows players to counter an enemy's attack with an invincible backdash that slows down time for a short period, at the cost of one bar of the V-Guage. The V-Shift can be followed up with an attack called a V-Shift Break, which involves the character doing a forward moving attack.
