Churachandpur, February 11 2021: In the attempts to curb smuggling activities in Manipur, troops of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) recovered narcotics (Opium) from Bualkot area of Churachandpur District in Manipur.

On yesterday at 6PM, troops of Assam Rifles got specific information regarding a hidden cache of contraband in nearby jungle area of Bualkot.

On thorough search of the area the troops recovered 22kgs of Opium.

The assessed market value of the recovered narcotics is worth over Rs 13 Lakh.

The recovered narcotics were handed over to the Singhat Police Station for further investigation.
