Jai Corp Q3 PAT up multi-fold at Rs72.13cr on sharp spike in miscellaneous income to Rs93.7cr

Jai Corp reported -7.7% fall in total revenues for the Dec-20 quarter on consolidated basis at Rs117.91cr. Its largest segment of plastic processing was down by nearly 5% and that had an overall impact on the revenues for the quarter. Apart from the plastic processing business, its steel business looked up while the spinning and real estate business of the group was also deep in the dumps on a yoy basis.


The consolidated Profit after tax (PAT) for the Dec-20 quarter was up manifold at Rs72.13cr. The profit boost came from the other income component which jumped from Rs5cr to Rs93.7cr in the Dec-20 quarter, giving a boost to overall revenues. This represents the profit from the sale of its manufacturing and packaging division in Daman.  As a result, the PAT margins improved from 1.67% in Dec-19 to 61.17% in Dec-20.
