Arjun Das has been grabbing a lot of headlines these days for his acting chops in various films that he has featured in right from Perumaan to recently released Master. Arjun Das for his role of Das for highly praised. For those not in the know, Arjun played the role of a drug addict who is an ally of Bhawani played by Vijay Sethupathi. He is responsible for the illegal drug and alcoholic activities on Bhawani's behalf and was hence put in juvenile detention for the same. He later reformed his ways and joined forces with JD aka Thalapathy Vijay to bring the downfall of Bhawani. Arjun Das's performance has been liked by one and all. He was supposed to make his lead debut soon, however, the pandemic shut down the country. And even before his first lead film releases, Arjun Das has been signed by a National Award-winning director Vasanthabalan. Yes, you read that right. Vasanthabalan has signed Arjun Das for a film. On Thursday, the National Awardee of Veyil took to his Twitter handle to announce that he will cast Arjun Das in the lead in his maiden venture. Vasanthabalan will be collaborating with his school friends for the same under the banner of Urban Boyz Studios. No further details of the same have been announced yet but this sure sounds exciting for Arjun and his fans. Arjun Das's first film as the lead was released on the streaming giant called Andhaghaaram. The director V Vignarajan had opened up on the film saying, "It’s a supernatural suspense thriller that has been shot in and around Chennai. Arjun Das (of Kaithi fame), Vinod Kishan, Pooja and Kumar Natarajan play the leads in the film. There are three stories, and they play the leads in these stories. It’s not an anthology, but these stories are connected to each other."
Arjun Das is also known for projects like Kaithi, Oxygen to name a few. His specialty is his bass-baritone voice and has also been nicknamed the next Raghuvaran for the same reason.
